Job summary

Barnes Aerospace Ogden Division is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabrication Assembler for 1st or 2nd shift in Ogden, Utah. The role involves collaborating in small teams to fit sheet metal parts to assemblies, using fixtures, grinding, and welding processes to meet precise specifications.

Responsibilities include pre-assembly with resistance spot welding, brazing for oven brazing, and rigorous use of measuring tools. Candidate should have TIG welding experience and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• TIG welding experience required or preferred.
• Ability to work in small teams (2–3 people).
• Capable of reading and understanding written instructions, procedures, and safety rules.
• Willingness and ability to learn and retain new skills.
• Compliance with general attendance standards.
• Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience with brazing, resistance welding, or fusion welding of sheet metal is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fit up sheet metal parts to assemblies using fixtures, scribe, and grind to fit.
• Pre-assemble parts with resistance spot welding prior to brazing for oven brazing.
• Use hand and power tools to bring parts to customer specifications and measure with calibrated tools.
• Complete required paperwork and checklists.
• Perform duties with safety and quality as priorities.
