Mechanical Systems Company, LLC in Memphis, TN is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Sheet Metal Apprentices. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in the HVAC and sheet metal trade with a clear path to skilled positions.

You will learn fabrication, assembly, and installation while working with experienced technicians. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM; starting pay is $17-$25 per hour, with health insurance, a 401(k), PTO, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in learning the sheet metal/HVAC trade.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical job duties (including crawlspaces, attics, ladders).
• Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolding.

Responsibilities

• Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembling sheet metal for HVAC systems.
• Support installation of ductwork and related components.
• Load, unload, and transport materials and tools to job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times.

Position Overview

As a Sheet Metal Apprentice, you will assist in the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal components used in HVAC systems. You'll work closely with experienced technicians to learn the trade, develop technical skills, and contribute to successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record
• Strong interest in learning the sheet metal/HVAC trade
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical job duties (including working in crawlspaces, attics, and on ladders)
• Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolding
• Prior experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus, but not required

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
