Job summary

FEAM Aero in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced line maintenance technician to perform on-call and scheduled maintenance on customer aircraft. You will conduct routine maintenance, airworthiness releases, and service/inspect engines and components to keep aircraft safe and compliant with FAA data.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, fabricating sheet metal, and coordinating with maintenance control. A valid FAA A&P license, 2-5+ years of relevant experience (B747/B767 preferred), and

  • Must have a current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Must have 2-5+ years of relevant experience, with B747 & B767 experience.
  • Knowledge of aircraft structural fabrication, assembly, and installations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) on various customers' aircraft.
  • Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases within the scope of Approval.
  • Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, engines, and components; meet deadlines and performance goals.
  • Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components.
  • Ensure all departing aircraft are safe per FARs and manuals; proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with air carrier’s maintenance control center.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal per AMM, SRM, drawings, specs.
  • Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair structures for modifications per manuals and FAA regs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform line maintenance (on-call and scheduled) work on various customers' aircraft.
  • Perform routine maintenance and airworthiness releases (within the scope of Approval) returning aircraft to service.
  • Responsible for servicing, inspecting, and maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components; effectively perform work to meet deadlines and performance goals.
  • Troubleshoot systems; disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain fully functioning equipment according to approved technical data provided by the customer.
  • Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FAR’s and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals and that all work performed is properly documented.
  • Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the air carrier’s maintenance control center as required.
  • Utilize special skills such as but not limited to: close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, shooting and/or bucking rivets, trimming, and the use of micrometers and calipers.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair production sheet metal products and equipment in accordance with aircraft AMM, SRM, drawings, and specifications.
  • Make sheet metal layouts; set up and operate fabricating machinery; and installations for conformance to specifications.
  • Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Must have a current valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Must have 2-5+ years of relevant experience, with B747 & B767 experience.
  • Require knowledge of aircraft structural fabrication, assembly, and installations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, utilize hand and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend, or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds. Awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
  • Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
