Job summary

Transcendia in Richmond, Indiana is seeking an Assistant Operator to support the sheet extrusion process in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will assist the Extruder Operator and Lead Operator, prepare assets for production, operate equipment, and monitor quality to meet production standards.

This role requires reading SOPs, lifting up to 50 pounds, using tape measures, and maintaining lift truck certification.

Qualifications

• Must read production MO’s and SOPs.
• Able to perform math calculations including fractions.
• Able to read a tape measure and use it accurately.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow SOPs to meet production standards.
• Assist in setup and operation of sheet extrusion assets per product specs.
• Unload and transport finished and scrap materials with lift trucks.
• Maintain lift truck certification and ensure safety.
• Prepare packaging supplies and pallets for production needs.
• Monitor production parameters and report abnormalities.
