Job summary

Colorado State University’s Winger Lab in the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Laboratory on the Foothill Campus seeks a part-time sheep handler. You will work with sheep, perform estrous detection, assist in mating, and help with pre- and post-surgical care, including evening and weekend duties.

Qualifications include experience with sheep or large animals and a Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences or a related field.

Qualifications

• Experience handling or working with sheep, or equivalent large animal experience on a farm or research environment.
• Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences or related field.

Responsibilities

• Sheep handling, estrous (heat) detection, mating, pre-surgical preparation and post-surgical monitoring and care; some evening and weekend duties.
