Job summary

Avanade in the United States is seeking a SharePoint Solution Design & Delivery Lead to architect, implement, and govern Microsoft 365 content management solutions across enterprise clients. You will guide end‑to‑end SharePoint Online deployments, intranets, document mgmt, and migrations from on‑prem to cloud.

You will translate business needs into scalable architectures, drive governance, enhance information findability, and support adoption and change across IT and business teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
• Strong knowledge of site architecture, hub sites, permissions models.
• Expertise in IA, taxonomy, and metadata design for enterprise content.
• Experience building and governing content management and governance frameworks.
• Experience with SharePoint migrations and modernisation to Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps: Teams, OneDrive, Viva.
• Knowledge of Purview compliance features: retention and sensitivity labels.
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate/Power Apps).
• Knowledge of Syntex (SharePoint Premium) governance and content processing.

Responsibilities

• End‑to‑end design and implementation of SharePoint Online solutions, including intranets and document management.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable architecture aligned with Microsoft 365 best practices.
• Develop solution components: site structures, permissions, workflows, and integrations.
• Plan and execute deployments, migrations (on‑prem to cloud), and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure platform integrity, scalability, and upgrade compatibility.
• Configure and manage SharePoint Online environments (site provisioning, hub sites, security, compliance).
• Monitor platform health, performance, and usage analytics to optimize solutions.
• Implement governance policies including lifecycle management, retention, and access controls.
• Support operational readiness, documentation, and knowledge transfer to client IT teams.
• Advise clients on content strategy, governance, and operating models.
• Design IA, taxonomy, and metadata frameworks to improve findability and usability.
• Lead workshops to align stakeholders on governance and strategy.
• Serve as trusted advisor to client stakeholders across IT, business, and leadership teams.
• Lead discovery sessions, design workshops, and executive readouts.
• Provide recommendations grounded in Microsoft 365 capabilities and best practices.
• Manage client expectations, risks, and delivery outcomes across engagements.
• Contribute to proposals, solutioning, and business development activities.
• Support user adoption strategies including training, communications, and change management.
