Think Company operates in the United States as a remote-first company, with potential for as-needed travel associated to client needs. As such, please consider this a remote (work from home) position. Please note that Thinkers are expected to operate within Eastern Standard Time Zone business hours.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate (W2): $65 - $95

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive SharePoint Consultant (contract) for an intranet implementation project.

The ideal candidate will be experienced with designing and implementing tailored SharePoint solutions by configuring features, developing workflows and integrating with other systems, to deliver the functionality that meets the business needs and user experience goals.

You will work as a part of a cross-functional team including Think Company’s designers and the client’s IT team to implement an intranet solution, support the client’s end users and maximize the value of the platform for the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with IT and marketing departments to gather requirements, assess needs, and implement enhancements to support business objectives
  • Conduct thorough assessments of business processes to identify areas where SharePoint can improve efficiency and information management
  • Develop SharePoint architectures, including site structure, content types, metadata, and security models to align with business requirements
  • Ensure proper permissions and site setup with a focus on security best practices
  • Integrate SharePoint with other applications and email systems to streamline user experience
  • Provide user training on SharePoint functionalities and best practices, including ongoing support for troubleshooting issues
  • Develop and implement governance guidelines to maintain data quality, consistency, and security within the SharePoint environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in SharePoint development, configuration, and implementation
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, SharePoint 2016/2019, and related Microsoft 365 applications
  • Deep understanding of SharePoint features, configuration options, and security management
  • Familiarity with programming languages like C#/HTML/CSS or JavaScript for custom development when needed
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and translate business requirements into functional SharePoint solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
