Job summary

Cook Inlet Region, Inc (CIRI) is seeking a Shareholder & Descendant Programs Specialist to join the Shareholder and Descendants Program team in Anchorage, AK. You will develop engaging content and coordinate programs that support Alaska Native shareholders and descendants, aligning with CIRI’s mission and values.

You will build relationships, manage projects, and collaborate with Corporate Communications to tell authentic stories, measure impact, and showcase program participation across life

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience supporting community programs and events.
• Experience in content creation, journalism or digital storytelling.
• Experience with Alaska Native cultures and communities preferred.
• Ability to travel for events, including weekends/evenings.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Support Shareholder and Descendant Programs with program development and improvements.
• Build relationships to grow networks and create culturally relevant content.
• Coordinate with staff, planners, and liaisons for access and coverage.
• Attend events to capture on-site content and stories.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications to develop stories and testimonials.
• Promote programs across life stages and showcase participant experiences.
• Produce real-time content (photos, video, recaps) for social media.
• Ensure content reflects Alaska Native heritage and values.
• Travel as required for program implementation.
