Job summary

Carrollton Public Schools is seeking a Shared-Time Director for the 2026-2027 school year. The role leads the Shared-Time program, mentoring teachers, developing policies, and fostering relationships with non-public schools to promote student growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Administration.
• Valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
• Minimum of three (3) years of building administrator experience; Central Office experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of exemplary teaching experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, central office, school-based staff, students, parents, and community members.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, organizational patterns, school operations, and pupil services.
• Proficiency in Google and Microsoft applications.
• Must undergo background checks and authorization procedures.
• CPR/First Aid certification training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate/supervise/discipline all Shared-Time teachers and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
• Coordinate with district officials to ensure accurate documents and records for participating buildings.
• Act as liaison between the School District and non-public schools.
• Interface with pupil accounting auditors to maximize district benefits.
• Plan and participate in teacher recruitment and in-service.
• Calculate shared time FTE and provide cost-benefit analyses.
• Lead Count Day preparations for Shared-Time programs.
• Provide guidance on Shared-Time program implementation during the contract period.
• Ensure timely MDE paperwork for Shared-Time pupil accounting.
• Review staff PO, conference requests, and time-off requests per policies.
• Hold pre-school and new meetings with staff and principals.
• Conduct teacher observations and mentor for professional growth.
• Manage the SCECH process for Shared-Time teachers.
• Develop and manage annual Shared-Time schedules and notify principals of changes.
• Implement staff training, including shared-time secretary pupil accounting training.
• Adhere to board policies and maintain high work standards.
