Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable with accuracy in invoice processing, vendor payments, and vendor management; ensure timely payments and term compliance.
• Assist in processing banking transactions such as ACH and wire payments, letters of credit, bonds, hedging transactions.
• Supervise accounts receivable with billing, collections, credit management, and cash application.
• Oversee employee expense report and corporate credit card processing.
• Serve as liaison between AP/AR/treasury and other departments, providing service and resolving issues.
• Provide guidance and direction to accounting staff to resolve processing issues.
• Manage up to 8 direct reports.
• Other duties assigned.

SMS group Inc. is seeking a Shared Service Manager to oversee core transactional finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury support, employee expense processing, and corporate credit card administration.

The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, vendor payments, customer billing, collections, cash application, banking transactions, and compliance with payment terms. The Shared Service Manager will also manage vendor relationships, support financial instruments such as ACH payments, wires, letters of credit, performance bonds, and hedging transactions, and serve as a key liaison between finance and other departments.

The position provides leadership and guidance to accounting staff, resolves processing issues, and manages up to eight direct reports. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, at least five years of progressive accounting experience, knowledge of banking systems and processes, and strong Microsoft Office—particularly Excel—skills. SAP experience is preferred.
