Job summary

Nonotuck Resource Associates is seeking caregivers in Taunton and surrounding towns to share their home with someone with a disability. The role provides a comfortable and safe home while helping the person live a healthy and enriching life.

Responsibilities include planning meals, joining community activities, transportation, and overseeing medical care and appointments. You must have an available bedroom in your home or be willing to move into the home of the person we serve.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive CORI background check.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
• Experience working with people with disabilities is helpful.
• You must have an available bedroom in your home or be willing to move into the person’s home.
• Minimum age of 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Plan and share meals with the person in care.
• Participate in community and social activities with them.
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities.
• Oversee medical care and appointments.
• Help with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene as needed.
• Provide emotional and behavioral supports.

Job description

Range = $27,618 to $96,677 annually *

* Range above represents difficulty of care payments paid to a caregiver for providing personal care services to an eligible person residing either in the caregiver’s home or in the person’s own home. Stipend rates are contingent upon assessed needs of the person and subject to state approval. Stipend levels 18 through 21 are available only by special application to the purchasing governmental unit. Nonotuck is seeking caregivers in the area of Taunton and surrounding towns to share their home and life with someone with a disability. The role of the Shared Living Caregiver is to provide a comfortable and safe home while helping the person to have a healthy and enriching life. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: planning and sharing meals together, participating in community and social activities, providing transportation, and overseeing medical care and appointments. The caregiver may also need to help, supervise and teach in areas such as bathing, dressing, personal hygiene and budgeting. Lastly, there may be a need to provide emotional and behavioral supports.

Qualifications:

• You must have an available bedroom in your home
  Or, be looking to move into the home of the person we serve.
• Minimum age of 18 yrs old
• Be able to pass comprehensive background check (CORI)
• Valid driver's license
• Have a reliable and insured vehicle
• Experience working with people with disabilities and with people in the mental health field would be helpful.
