Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for a contract opportunity near Wyandotte, MI. You will work directly with students to enhance participation and success in the school setting during regular school hours.

You will assess, plan individualized therapy, and collaborate with educators, families, and staff. This role emphasizes hands-on therapy, progress documentation, and ongoing communication to support student growth and academic achievement.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Occupational Therapy license.
• Experience in school-based, home health, or general healthcare OT roles preferred.
• Strong ability to develop and implement fine and gross motor skills programs.
• Familiarity working with children in an educational setting is important.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities for collaboration with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs in fine motor, gross motor, and sensory skills.
• Create and implement individualized therapy plans to support academic and developmental growth.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other school professionals to coordinate goals and strategies.
• Document progress and adjust interventions based on ongoing evaluation.
• Deliver therapy sessions onsite during regular school hours.
• Provide guidance and education to staff and caregivers to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
