Job summary

Adventist Health Tulare Internal Medicine Residency Program is seeking a highly motivated Internal Medicine physician to join our team as Core Faculty Member. You will teach, supervise, and mentor residents while maintaining an active clinical practice in a mission-driven environment.

The role emphasizes education, scholarly activities, and leadership within an ACGME-accredited program, with opportunities for academic advancement and collaboration across AHMG.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Internal Medicine required.
• Eligibility for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• Demonstrated commitment to resident and medical student education.
• Experience providing care in a rural or underserved community preferred.
• Prior teaching experience with residents and/or medical students preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Devote approximately 16 hours weekly to residency administration, education, and resident supervision.
• Provide clinical supervision, instruction, and mentorship to Internal Medicine residents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Facilitate didactic lectures, case conferences, journal clubs, simulations, and evidence-based medicine discussions.
• Support resident wellness, professional development, and career planning.
• Participate in curriculum development, assessment, milestones, and program improvement.
• Maintain an active clinical practice and deliver patient-centered care.
