Job summary

Adventist Health Tulare Internal Medicine Residency Program in Tulare, CA seeks an Internal Medicine physician to join as Core Faculty. You will balance patient care with education, supervise residents, and contribute to curriculum and scholarly activities.

This teaching-focused role offers academic leadership opportunities within a mission-driven community hospital system, supported by AHMG. A strong commitment to resident education is essential.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Internal Medicine physician with a clear commitment to resident education.
• Experience teaching residents and/or medical students preferred.
• Experience in rural or underserved communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Devote ~16 hours weekly to residency administration, education, and supervision.
• Provide clinical supervision, instruction, and mentorship in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Lead didactic lectures, case conferences, and journal clubs.
• Support resident wellness and career planning.
• Participate in curriculum development, evaluation, and program improvement.
• Maintain an active clinical practice in Internal Medicine.
