Job summary

National Beef is seeking a Shag Driver to safely relocate trailers at our Moultrie, GA site. This on-site role requires a valid driver’s license and a strong safety record, with duties including moving trailers, logging movements, and maintaining clean staging areas.

Qualified candidates will read, write and speak English, communicate well, and be able to climb into the shag truck. Flexibility for shifts and on-call work is a plus; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employers)
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Previous shag truck driving and/or hauling trailers experience is preferred but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to climb up into shag truck
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to work various shifts and on call as needed
• Ability to comply with all safe work practices and procedures
• Ability to communicate using two-way radio
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Safely operate shag truck to relocate trailers to and from loading dock and trailer staging area
• Maintain trailer movement logs
• Organize trailer staging area
• Keep loading and staging area clean and free from trash and debris
• Maintain shag truck to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Keep shag truck and trailers clean and free from trash and debris
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities for the Shag Driver positions include but are not limited to:

• Safely operate shag truck to relocate trailers to and from loading dock and trailer staging area
• Strict compliance with Federal, State, and Company guidelines and policies for safety
• Maintain trailer movement logs
• Organize trailer staging area
• Keep loading and staging area clean and free from trash and debris
• Maintain shag truck to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Keep shag truck and trailers clean and free from trash and debris
• Other duties as assigned

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.
