Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head the Spend domain in the US. You will own the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery for corporate cards, expense management, and spend workflows, building and scaling a high-performing team in San Francisco.

You will partner with Product, Design, and Commercial stakeholders to translate business strategy into technical execution, while driving engineering excellence and talent growth across multiple squads.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Expenses sub-domain with vision, delivery, and roadmap in collaboration with local product teams.
• Evolve technical architecture across the Spend domain, guiding platform decisions and data/AI capabilities.
• Scale the US engineering team and provide mentorship as new squads form.
• Drive operational excellence with challenging OKRs and efficient delivery across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Commercial and other US Engineering Leads to align execution with business goals.
• Own talent acquisition for the domain, partnering with TA to attract top SF talent.
