Qualifications

• Juris Doctor Degree required.
• Member of The Florida Bar.
• 5+ years of experience in criminal law.
• Prior jury trial experience required.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Time management and organizational skills for a large caseload.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute sex crimes from intake through trial and sentencing.
• Assist with Jimmy Ryce cases, child abuse cases, probation violations, and failure-to-register matters.
• Conduct jury trials, non-jury trials, preliminary and pretrial hearings, and related proceedings.
• Investigate, evaluate, and prepare cases for trial; perform legal research and writing.
• Communicate with victims, their families, witnesses, and law enforcement personnel.
• Work under pressure in high-stress environments.
