The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to departmental schedules. The candidate will lift up to 50–60 lbs, operate scanners, and collaborate with sewing operators and quality inspectors to ensure efficient production

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of sewing operation experience in upholstery manufacturing.
• Ability to read and understand departmental schedules in English.
• Must be able to use a hand-held scanner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with supervision.
• Strong time-management and ability to work independently with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Review sewing schedule and coordinate cell distribution with operations and leadership.
• Organize cut kit materials and stage components at sewing tables.
• Scan tickets to ensure kits are attributed to correct operation.
• Load kits onto carts and push to sewing tables for distribution.
• Move completed kits to sewing inspection for further processing.
• Minimize handling to maximize machine operation time for operators.
• Track kits and tickets and report inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
