Job summary

B-Sew Inn is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sewing machines and related equipment in a full-time capacity in our Humble, TX location. You will deliver excellent customer service while performing repairs and routine maintenance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience, and a technical degree preferred. The role includes lifting up to 100 lbs and working a 40-hour week, including Saturdays, in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years' relevant experience and/or prior training.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive attitude and adheres to BSI’s culture.
• Lift machines to workbench and replace or repair parts.
• Clean parts and machine.
• Start and observe machine operation to test performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions and perform improvements.
• Initiate orders and maintain inventory of critical parts; submit requests to Service Manager.
• Reassemble machines when complete.
• Maintain current technical knowledge through manufacturer training.
• Maintain records of work performed using the POS system.
• Explain repair status to guests and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Work with guests to resolve technique-based issues.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
