Job summary

Martin-Baker America is seeking a Sewing Machine Operator to operate a range of sewing machines and reinforce fabric and materials used in production assemblies.

You will read blueprints, follow build plans, and maintain safety and quality standards while supporting a clean, efficient work environment. Training provided; on-site role with full-time hours.

We will train new hires and offer benefits and PTO as part of a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and build plans.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.

Sewing Machine Operator

The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating various sewing machines to join and/or reinforce fabric, velcro, webbing, and other material used in manufacturing of production assemblies. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, motivated Sewing Technician with strong technical ability and a solid work ethic.

Key Skills:

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and complete end‑of‑shift housekeeping.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, flowcharts, and build plans.
• Develop skills to operate all sewing machines (single/double needle, overlock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder, auto velcro feeder).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to measure to a tolerance of +/- 1/16".
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the facility; lift up to 20 lbs.
