Martin-Baker America, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Sewing Machine Operator to join our Johnstown, PA manufacturing team. You will operate multiple sewing machines to join fabric and components, read complex blueprints, and uphold safety and quality standards throughout production.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, can measure to +/- 1/16 inch, and communicates effectively. The role requires the ability to sit/stand, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and complete end-of-shift housekeeping.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, flowcharts, and build plans.
• Develop skills to operate all sewing machines (single/double needle, overlock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder, auto velcro feeder).

Job Purpose

The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating various sewing machines to join and/or reinforce fabric, velcro, webbing, and other material used in manufacturing of production assemblies. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, motivated Sewing Technician with strong technical ability and a solid work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and complete end‑of‑shift housekeeping.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, flowcharts, and build plans.
• Develop skills to operate all sewing machines (single/double needle, overlock, Adler, post, CNC auto tracker, auto webbing feeder, auto velcro feeder).
