Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to obtain a Texas CDL-B within six months.
• Minimum six months experience in construction or related labor requiring equipment use.
• Knowledge of water distribution/wastewater systems and safety procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate jackhammer, lawn mower, weed eater, power saw, tapping machine, chain saw, hand tools, light trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Perform minor painting, plumbing, and maintenance as needed.
• Clean and stock the truck.
• Load and unload materials and perform yard cleanup.
• Assist in installing and maintaining water and sewer lines.
• Assist other departments as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain City drainage features.
• Complete after-hours standby duty as part of rotation.
• Attendance is essential and reflects City core values.
