Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a heavy equipment operator for municipal maintenance in Texas. You will operate front end loader, backhoe, roller, skid steer and dump trucks to excavate and repair water distribution and wastewater infrastructure.

Must obtain a Texas CDL in six months and Water Distribution II within one year, Wastewater Collections II within one year, and III within three years. Six months’ equipment experience required or substituted by related work history.

Qualifications

• Six months of construction work requiring equipment experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment used in municipal infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (front end loader, backhoe, roller, skid steer, dump truck, etc.).
• Excavate and repair water distribution and wastewater infrastructure.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Ensure equipment is secured at the end of each shift.
• Respond to duty phone during nights, weekends and holidays.
