Job summary

Jefferson Parish in Louisiana seeks a qualified Equipment Operator III - Sewer Washout Truck to safely operate the Sewer Washout Truck and perform basic maintenance of assigned equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting tires, oil, leaks, coolant, lights, windows and wipers, and ensuring clean cab and mirrors.

May also operate related equipment as needed per department assignments. CDL is required by license and training as described.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Louisiana Class A or B CDL; preferred when driving Parish vehicle.
• Possession of a current Louisiana Class C (or higher) CDL with acceptable driving record.
• If holding a CDL from another state, must obtain Louisiana CDL within 10 days after offer.
• Minimum age 18 and verifiable experience with Sewer Washout Truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate Sewer Washout Truck and perform minor maintenance.
• Inspect tire inflation, oil levels, leaks, coolant, lights, windows, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
• Maintain cleanliness of cab and windows; assist with equipment as assigned.
• May operate additional equipment as directed by supervisor.
