Job summary

The City of O’Fallon, MO is seeking a full-time Utility Worker I for the Sewer Lateral Crew. You'll work on maintaining and repairing the sanitary sewer system, troubleshoot lift stations, and assist in inspecting and locating lines.

Safety training and a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement are required or obtainable via 회사 training. The role involves outdoor work in all weather, the potential for on-call shifts, and a benefits package including health insurance and paid leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement issued by Missouri or ability to obtain it.
• Paid CDL training available for new hires without a CDL.
• Certification in Collections System Operator or Distribution demonstrates commitment to field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair sanitary sewer collection system on assigned crew.
• Troubleshoot, operate, and repair sewer lift stations, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Inspect new lines and locate water and sewer lines; weld and fabricate parts as needed.
• Address customer complaints and keep facilities, lagoons, and grounds clean.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in snow removal.
