Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a skilled Technician III - Sewer to join our district maintenance team. You will inspect, install, repair, and maintain sewer, water, drainage, and related plumbing systems across district facilities, ensuring safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities include responding to urgent repair needs, reading blueprints, maintaining inventory, and coordinating with principals and supervisors on projects. A Texas plumbing credential and 3 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School diploma, GED, or Texas High School Equivalency certificate.
• Texas Plumbers Apprentice with Drain Cleaner-Restricted Registration; Journeyman license preferred; Valid Texas driver’s license; Insurable.
• 3 years plumbing experience required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) working proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, maintains, and pressure tests sewer, heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems per codes.
• Detects repairs from inspections; completes repairs or work orders.
• Installs and repairs pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment.
• Maintains inventory and records material and labor used; responds to emergencies.
• Coordinates with principals and supervisors on projects.
