Harts Services is seeking a Sewer Install Expert to lead residential sewer projects, mentor apprentices, and ensure high standards of safety and workmanship. The role blends field execution with customer interaction and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage installations, supervise trainees, and coordinate with dispatch to keep projects on schedule while upholding code requirements and company values.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sewer installation, excavation, and restoration experience.
• Active Plumber Trainee card with at least 2,000 hours
• Clean driving record.
• Experience or willingness to learn pipe bursting, relining, and directional drilling.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Field Execution: Perform sewer installations, excavations, pipe bursting, relining, boring, and site restorations to OSHA and local code standards.
• Customer Service: Evaluate sewer systems, present project plans based on approved estimates, and answer customer questions clearly.
• Apprentice Mentorship: Guide and train sewer apprentices on technical skills, safety, and quality workmanship.
• Operations & Safety: Maintain assigned vehicles, keep jobsites safe, meet performance goals, and use mobile devices/software to coordinate with dispatch and management.

• Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly | Monday – Friday (6:30 AM – 6:00 PM shift window, schedule may vary)

About the Role

You will lead residential sewer installation projects while training and mentoring apprentices. This role combines technical field execution, customer interaction, and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Execution: Perform sewer installations, excavations, pipe bursting, relining, boring, and site restorations to OSHA and local code standards.
• Customer Service: Evaluate sewer systems, present project plans based on approved estimates, and answer customer questions clearly.
• Apprentice Mentorship: Guide and train sewer apprentices on technical skills, safety, and quality workmanship.
• Operations & Safety: Maintain assigned vehicles, keep jobsites safe, meet performance goals, and use mobile devices/software to coordinate with dispatch and management.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Perform heavy physical labor (70%+ of the day) outdoors in all weather conditions, trenches, and tight spaces.
• Stand, walk, bend, and climb for up to 8 hours daily.
• Safely lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs regularly (team lifts/aids used for heavier loads).
