Job summary

Mark Thomas is hiring a Sewer Inspector I to perform inspections and maintenance on the Bay Area sanitary sewer system, ensuring compliance with district standards. The role requires coordination with contractors, documentation of deviations, and timely reporting.

A valid CA driver’s license and reliability are essential. The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years of relevant experience, basic MS Office skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Requires 2–5+ years of relevant water/wastewater inspector experience.
• Must read engineering drawings and follow specifications.
• Must obtain CWEA Grade 1 CWEA within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and maintenance on the sanitary sewer system.
• Ensures contractors comply with district ordinances and standards.
• Documents deviations and prepares daily reports.
• Monitors pump and lift stations and responds to SSOs.
• Communicates with the public clearly and professionally.
• Travels as required and maintains safety practices.
