Job summary

Atlantic Environmental Systems is seeking a reliable Sewage Pump Station Maintenance Technician to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair wastewater pump stations and related equipment. This position ensures uninterrupted flow, system reliability, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

The role involves mechanical, electrical, and preventive maintenance work in the field, with on-site responsibilities at various pump stations across Florida.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years in wastewater or pump station maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with submersible pumps.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on sewage pump stations.
• Operate and troubleshoot submersible pumps.
• Inspect electrical components and control panels.
• Respond to emergency callouts and overflow events.
• Monitor SCADA or telemetry systems and report abnormalities.
• Maintain maintenance logs and work orders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
• Track time and time management.
