Job summary

Whitcomb Middle School in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Severe Needs, Special Education Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The role requires implementing IEPs, differentiating instruction, and collaborating with general education and families to promote student growth.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE licensure in Special Education required or eligible (Severe Needs preferred).
• Master’s degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Experience with inclusion, small group and individual settings helpful.
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect instruction per IEPs with measurable goals.
• Differentiate learning experiences to meet diverse student needs.
• Collaborate with general education staff to modify curriculum.
• Collect and analyze assessment data to monitor progress and adjust practices.
• Maintain accurate student records and reports as required by laws and policies.
• Engage families and communities to support student learning.
• Uphold high ethical and culturally proficient professional standards.
