Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will support individuals and small groups with curriculum, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignment completion, preparing instructional materials and maintaining progress records.

In remote settings, assist with technology access and executive functioning strategies.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required
• No professional work experience required
• Associate's degree or higher preferred and demonstrated ability to assist in instruction

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities, adapting the curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement student accommodations, supports, modifications, and programming per IEP; maintain progress records.
• Assist licensed staff with materials, tests, attendance, and documentation; help with drills and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested; follow safety and confidentiality guidelines.
• In online/remote settings, support technology access and coursework completion.
