Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to assist students with severe special education needs under licensed staff. You will support individuals and small groups, adapt curriculum, monitor progress, and prepare instructional materials.

In both in-person and remote settings, you assist with technology access, behavior strategies, and record-keeping; you may help with IEPs, accommodations, and crisis interventions. Relevant experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma
• No professional work experience required
• Title I assignments require college coursework or related credentials

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs; support individuals and small groups daily (35%).
• Implement accommodations and maintain progress/behavior records with licensed staff (30%).
• Assist with materials, tests, attendance and paperwork; help with events like fire drills (5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested (5%).
