Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will help with curriculum delivery, skill development, behavior strategies, and assignments, while preparing materials and maintaining achievement records.

In addition to on-site classroom duties, the role covers remote learning support, technology access, executive functioning strategies, and coursework completion in appropriate settings.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma is required.
• No professional work experience required; Title I assignments criteria apply.
• Must have basic office equipment knowledge and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Maintain progress and behavior records in collaboration with licensed staff.
• Assist with preparing materials, tests, attendance, and events (e.g., fire drills).
• Support online/remote learning activities and technology troubleshooting.
