Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Severe Needs Para Educator to support students with severe special education needs under licensed staff supervision. You will assist with curriculum modification, skill development, behavior strategies, and completion of assignments to promote student progress.

Work includes preparing instructional materials, monitoring progress, maintaining achievement records, and providing technical physical care.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• High School Diploma or HSE required
• No professional work experience required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention training required
• Medication administration training required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Curriculum modification ability

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom activities and adapt curriculum for individual needs.
• Implement IEP accommodations and maintain progress and behavior records.
• Assist licensed staff with materials, testing, attendance, and documentation.
• Support classroom events and safety procedures as needed.
• Assist with online/remote learning activities and technology support when required.
