Job summary

International Vitamin Corporation seeks a Setup Technician to maintain production equipment and support line start-ups and changeovers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include equipment set ups, adjustments, TPM participation, and ensuring safety and GMP standards. You will work Fri-Sun, 6:00am-6:00pm, with a $18.50/hour base plus $1.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated mechanical ability and understanding of equipment.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all production equipment line set ups and change overs.
  • Perform all necessary adjustments on production equipment.
  • Evaluate condition of equipment and tooling during set-ups and report needed repairs.
  • Complete appropriate paper/digital documents in a timely and detailed manner.
  • Practice and actively drive TPM processes.
  • Monitor and adjust machinery for maximum accuracy and efficiency.
  • Convert machinery to accommodate changes in various environments.
  • Operate newly repaired/adjusted equipment to verify repairs/adjustments.
  • Train and aid other operators in line changeovers.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper assembly of all manufacturing equipment per SOP.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe working environment at all times.
  • Follow SOPs and GMPs, including PPE requirements.
  • Identify and report any quality issues to supervisor or quality department.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, SOPs, and safety regulations.
  • Follow all safety procedures when opening, repairing, and installing equipment.

Position Overview

Responsible formaintainingall production equipment in good working order andupholdsall GMP quality standards, plantsafetyand equipment on all production lines. Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of all production equipment to support set-ups, changeovers, adjustments, minor repairs, and routine operations in accordance with company SOP’s and manufacturer's specifications Setup Technicians are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production flow with minimal down time while maintaining a safe work environment.Assistsmore skilled staff in the completion of larger and more complex assignments. Must be willing to setup, run,adjustandmaintainequipment.

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour & $1.50 shift differential

Shift: Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 6:00am-6:00pm

  • Works alone or with other technicians and/or trades to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Responsible for training and aiding other operators in the performance of line changeovers.
  • Ensures proper cleanliness and assembly of all manufacturing equipment per the approved SOP.
  • Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean, and safe workingenvironment at all times.
  • Follow SOPs and GMPs, i.e., wearing proper clothing, beard covers, gloves, etc.
  • Identifies and reports any quality issues to supervisor or quality department.
  • Understands and adheres to all company policies, procedures, SOPs, and safety regulations.
  • Follow all safety procedures when opening, repairing, and installing process or plantequipment. (LOTO, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Permits, etc.).

  • Required to work on ladders, scaffolds, and equipment.
  • All other tasks as assigned by department management.

  • The employeeis regularly required touse hands, speak, and hear.
  • Required to wear special garments along with hair nets, beard covers to prevent crosscontamination.
  • Required to sit or stand forlong periods, bend, reachwith arms, and stoop at knees
  • Work is sometimes performed in a moderately noisy business area.
  • Able to carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English
