Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL is seeking a hands-on operator in Gastonia, North Carolina to assist with the setup and operation of automated machinery. The role includes handling manufacturing batches, routine cleaning and servicing, and keeping precise records of machine performance.

Primary responsibilities cover monitoring equipment during runs, performing repairs as needed, and identifying root causes to support process optimization and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the setup, adjustment and operation of machinery to produce goods or parts according to specifications.
• Supporting the acquisition of operation plans and carrying out the processing of manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients, including mechanical processing as required.
• Performing cleaning, servicing and routine maintenance on machines to ensure they remain in good working order.
• Supporting the monitoring of machines during operation to ensure they are functioning properly and carrying out repairs as needed.
• Identifying problems (causes) that occur with machines and supporting the optimization of processes for troubleshooting.
• Administering operational processes and keeping accurate records of machine performance.
