Job summary

FCA Packaging in Tonawanda, NY seeks a hands-on manufacturing setup technician to join a small team. You will set up and change over wire binding machines, read specs, and ensure quality while meeting production deadlines.

You’ll work independently and with 1–2 teammates, troubleshoot issues, and adapt to changing schedules. Reliable attendance and basic mechanical skills are essential; overtime may be required to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience in manufacturing, automotive, construction, or similar.
• Confidence using hand and power tools (pliers, drills, nail/staple guns).
• Ability to read measurements, work with fractions, and understand dimensions/tolerances.
• Basic understanding of how machines operate (mechanical or hydraulic).
• Ability to read job specs or blueprints and translate them into machine setup.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and change over wire binding machines to meet production specs and deadlines.
• Work independently and alongside a small team (1–2 others) to keep jobs moving efficiently.
• Read job specifications and ensure machines are dialed in for accuracy and quality.
