Job summary

The NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission is seeking a Supervising Attorney for the Prosecution Division Settlements Unit in Long Island City, NY. You will assist the Managing Attorney and Supervising Attorneys, oversee settlement processing, issue stipulations, and help implement policies and trainings.

Candidates must be admitted to the New York State Bar and have at least one year of legal experience after admission (or six months as an Agency Attorney Intern). Residency not required.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
• One year of legal experience after bar admission, or six months as Agency Attorney Intern.
• Incumbents must remain members in good standing during employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Settlements Unit in the Prosecution Division.
• Manage withdrawals and reissues of summonses; create settlements policies.
• Generate settlements reports and provide trainings as needed.
• Assist Managing Attorney and Senior Supervising Attorneys across units as needed.
