Citi in New York is seeking a Reference Data Services Analyst 1 trainee to support data remediation across client static data and reference data systems. You will learn to analyze data quality, work with global teams, and report metrics to management.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Remediates data in the Clients and Security Coding systems.
• Performs trend analysis and identifies root causes; implements or suggests solutions based on root cause analysis.
• Liaises with other teams globally to ensure data quality is remediated.
• Provides a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders.
• Owns ad-hoc projects from inception through to completion.
• Provides tangible metrics to Management.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, adhering to laws, rules and regulations, policies, and ethical standards; escalate and report control issues with transparency.
• Maker (1st level) processing will be undertaken with training on Checker (2nd level) review to follow.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing with occasional weekend release testing as part of a team

Overview

The Reference Data Services Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role. It requires a basic understanding of the processes, procedures and systems used to carry out assigned tasks, and an understanding of how the team interacts with others to accomplish objectives. The role involves resolving problems by applying acquired technical experience and making evaluative judgments based on factual information. Communication should be concise and clear, with awareness of audience diversity. The role has limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks and services provided.
