Job description

Who We Are

Occupying nearly 20,000 square feet, our growing firm is known for securing results through passion and tenacity. Our attorneys are frequent speakers at legal conferences, have earned accolades for their service, and have handled high-profile cases featured in national media and law school curricula. We specialize in wrongful death, catastrophic injury, truck and car accidents, workplace injuries, product liability, and other tort cases. Our high-energy environment is driven by passionate advocates who prepare every case for trial from day one, handling numerous trials across Texas annually.

At our core, we operate with a results-driven mindset. Team members are empowered to make decisions, solve problems, and continuously improve processes rather than simply move files from one stage to another. The Role

The Settlement Support Analyst plays a critical role in the firm’s settlement closing process by verifying medical provider balances, managing provider communications, and ensuring accurate case close-out. This position supports the Lien & Reductions and Settlement Closing teams by maintaining clean, accurate financial records ahead of disbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Balance Verification & Close-Out Prep: Verify all outstanding medical provider balances before negotiated/reduced totals prior to closing a case file. Cross-reference provider balances in the case management system to confirm every bill has been accurately captured. Flag unresolved balances or discrepancies to the Lien & Reductions team immediately. Utilize the closing checklist for each case prior to beginning balance verifications.
  • Settlement Check Pickup: Pick up settlement checks from opposing counsel and other firms per the firm’s check pickup protocol.
  • Lien & Reductions Follow-Up: Own follow-up communication with medical providers and lien holders on outstanding negotiations at the direction of the Settlement Closing Team Lead.
  • Provider Status Requests: Manage provider status requests by contacting medical providers and facilities to confirm current balance, lien status, or record status on assigned cases. Document all provider responses in the case management system.
  • Returned Check Handling: Research and process returned checks by identifying the correct case, payee, payment amount, and appropriate recipient for reissuance.
Key Characteristics
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • 1–3 years of experience in a legal, medical billing, or financial reconciliation environment
  • Prior law firm or lien resolution experience preferred
  • Proficiency with case management software (Filevine preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Compensation & Benefits
