Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Set-Up Technician to support production by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting equipment under management direction. You will work on the 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 3:00–11:00pm) to keep lines running and meet quality goals.

Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining equipment, documenting production and QC audits, organizing the work area, and communicating issues with operators and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Mechanical aptitude testing is required.
  • Ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Good math and reasoning abilities.
  • Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain equipment to support production.
  • Make modifications/repairs to equipment under supervision.
  • Ensure equipment meets cosmetic criteria and communicate it.
  • Relay product and quality information to Operators and Supervisors.
  • Document production, maintenance, and QC audits.
  • Keep equipment and department clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Job Description: The Set-Up Technician supports the production needs of the operation by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines with assistance and/or direction from management or qualified associates.

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00-11:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment as needed to support operations
  • Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipment with direction from management or qualified associates
  • Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees
  • Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in both written and verbal forms
  • Documentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed
  • Organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the department as a whole
  • Other duties and projects, as required by production and business need
Education, Skills, and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Successful completion of Mechanical Aptitude test
  • Established ability to identify and communicate issues and offer proposed solutions
  • Great attention to detail is required
  • Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential
  • Above basic math skills and reasoning ability
  • Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Forklift certification
