Job summary

VEKA in Texas is seeking a Changeover Technician to support extrusion lines, ensuring safe and efficient setup while recording data for performance insights.

You will exchange dies and calibration components, set up tooling for production, and drive continuous improvement with the team to achieve quality results.

Required qualifications include GED/HS, and eligibility to obtain forklift and crane licenses to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• GED or high school education or equivalent work experience.
• Must obtain VEKA forklift license.
• Must obtain VEKA crane license.

Responsibilities

• Support daily changeovers on extrusion lines per VEKA standards.
• Exchange dies and calibration and downstream tanks.
• Set up weather strip insertion tooling and nail-fin punches.
• Record accurate data in the BDE database for performance decisions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in continuous improvement.
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Support team members in completing daily changeovers by performing the following duties according to established VEKA standards. These standards enable us to provide a quality product/service to ensure our customer’s satisfaction.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Adhere to VEKA safety and quality standards

2. Efficiently prepare extrusion lines for production applications, which include the following tasks:

   -Exchange dies

   -Exchange calibration and downstream tanks

   -Clean water filters on lines leading to pumps

   -Setup weather strip insertion tooling and nail-fin punches

   -Exchange puller blocks

3. Work directly with team members in driving continuous improvement initiatives that pertain to changeovers

4. Ensure the recording of accurate data through BDE database to drive performance and key decisions

5. Conduct visual inspection of finished changeover

6. Maintain housekeeping of assigned work area at all times

SECONDARY DUTIES:

1. All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

GED, High School Education, or Previous Work Experience. Must be able to obtain and hold a valid VEKA forklift and crane license.
