Job summary

VEKA in Reno, NV is seeking a maintenance technician to clean, inspect, and prepare extrusion tooling to production standards. You will disassemble and reassemble tooling, perform scheduled maintenance, and polish dies and templates as needed.

The role requires clear communication of wear, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate a Reach truck. Minimum qualifications include a GED or high school diploma with trade school preferred or relevant experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect extrusion tooling according to VEKA policy/procedures.
• Disassemble extrusion tooling and ensure proper assembly.
• Perform maintenance on extrusion tooling as directed.
• Disassemble purged-in dies.
• Polish die, templates, and calibration as needed.
• Communicate wear and damage to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Operate Reach truck as needed.
• Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel.
• All other duties as assigned.

• 1. Clean and inspect extrusion tooling (Components) according to VEKA Policy/Procedures
• 2. Disassemble extrusion tooling and insure proper assembly
• 3. Perform Maintenance on extrusion tooling as directed
• 4. Disassemble purged-in dies
• 5. Polish die, templates, and calibration as needed
• 6. Communicate wear and damage to immediate supervisor
• 7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• 8. Operate Reach truck as needed

SECONDARY DUTIES:

• 1. Assist supervision and tooling maintenance personnel.
• 2. All other duties as assigned
