Job summary

VEKA is seeking a production changeover support role to assist on extrusion lines. You will adhere to safety and quality standards while preparing lines for production and exchanging calibration components and tooling as needed.

Tasks include cleaning water filters, setting up downstream tooling, and maintaining data in the BDE system. Work with team members to drive continuous improvement and ensure clean, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to obtain a VEKA forklift license and crane license.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to set up tooling for production.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to VEKA safety and quality standards.
• Prepare extrusion lines for production applications.
• Exchange calibration and downstream tanks.
• Clean water filters on lines leading to pumps.
• Setup weather strip insertion tooling and nail-fin punches.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to changeovers.
• Record data accurately in the BDE database.
• Conduct visual inspection of finished changeover.
• Maintain housekeeping of the work area.
• All other duties as assigned.
