Decker Manufacturing Corporation in Albion, MI seeks a Set-Up Operator to set up and operate a group of machines, performing quality inspections and minor tool adjustments. The role requires reading blueprints and micrometers, following instructions, and basic computer skills.

It is a full-time, in-person position with competitive pay and benefits. The successful candidate will inspect parts for quality, perform routine maintenance, and keep the work area safe and clean according to company

Qualifications

• Read blueprints.
• Read micrometers for tolerance checks.
• Follow written instructions and work orders.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and quality records.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading, writing and mathematics required.
• Completion of on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and load tooling.
• Operate a group of machines.
• Perform quality inspections per policy.
• Make minor adjustments and replace tools as indicated by inspections.
• Make minor repairs as needed.
• Remove tools at end of run.
• Inspect hoppers and chutes for mixed parts.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Comply with policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
• Assist set-up and repair person.
• Support minor changeovers and material supply when needed.
