Job summary

Pentel of America, Ltd. in the United States is hiring a Set-Up Operator to manage automated and manual production, including tape, heat tunnel, and label machines.

You will review the daily schedule, ensure safety guards are in place, and perform setup adjustments to meet carton dimensions. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, documenting downtime, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting with material movement as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; trade school is a plus.
• Experience in packaging/production environments is advantageous.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.

Responsibilities

• Set up automated/manual production lines including tape, heat tunnel, and label machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimum machine performance.
• Report to Production Supervisor and document downtime.
• Ensure machine guards are in place and adjust tooling for material dimensions.
• Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety procedures.
• Assist Material Handler with moving finished tickets when needed.
• Work overtime when required and maintain production pace for changeovers.
