Job summary

Schaeffler Transmission Systems, LLC is seeking a hands-on operator to set up and program machines, oversee ramp-up, and support preventive maintenance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, can read blueprints, and are proficient with measuring instruments. English communication must be clear, and ability to lift medium-heavy objects is required. Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to use instruments for measuring and to identify defects.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communications in English.
• Ability to operate medium-complex machinery for use in inspection.
• Good visual acuity.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and programming of operating machines including accuracy and effectiveness checks in first test sequences.
• Oversee ramp up of machines after setup procedure and support Operators in operating the machines.
• Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
• Follow documented procedures and processes and maintain accurate records and tracking.
• Check finished product/product component and submits for approval.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
