rms Company, part of the Cretex Medical family, is seeking a CNC Setup Machinist to support Additive Milling, set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes, and inspect parts. First shift: Mon-Thu, 5:30am–3:30pm.

This role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, and using measurement tools; experience with microscopes and preventive maintenance is valued. A sign-on bonus of $1,000-$5,000 is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC milling or lathe machines.
• CNC milling machine setup and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong math skills and ability to read GD&T on blueprints.
• Experience reading calipers and micrometers; microscope usage.

CNC Machinist Position Summary

The CNC Setup Machinist supports production in our Additive Milling department by setting up and operating CNC milling machines, operating CNC lathes as needed, and inspecting completed parts. This role performs tool changes and preventive maintenance to help maintain consistent machine performance and part quality.

1st shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:30am to 3:30pm

Sign-On Bonus Available: $1,000-$5,000 dependent on level of experience!

Responsibilities

CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines; operate CNC lathes as needed.
• Complete tool changes.
• Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring equipment and a microscope.
• Read and interpret blueprints and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC milling and lathe machines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating CNC milling or lathe machines.
• CNC milling machine setup and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong math skills, preferably including machine or shop math.
• Understanding of GD&T and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using a microscope.
• Ability to use measurement equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and pressure micrometers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience machining medical components, devices, or instruments.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• CNC milling machine programming experience.

Pay Range

USD $21.20 - USD $40.67 /Hr.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
