Job summary

rms Company, a Cretex Medical company, is hiring for a CNC Milling Operator in Minnesota to produce precision components. You will read blueprints, document processes, and work in a climate-controlled shop.

The role requires strong math skills, GD&T knowledge, microscope use, and ability to troubleshoot and set up Milling CNC machines. Strong teamwork and a safety-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Operator with Milling CNC machines.
• Strong math background (machine/shop math).
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience using a microscope.
• Ability to read measurement tools (micrometer/caliper/pressure micrometer).
• Experience machining medical components or devices.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machining or quality issues; complete preventive maintenance
• Perform visual inspections with microscopes when required; use micrometers/calipers/pressure micrometer
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T; perform tool changes and adjustments
• Partner with team members to meet production and quality goals

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift Hours: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm
• 2nd Shift Hours- 3:30 pm - 3:30 am

Sign-On Bonus Available: $1,000-$5,000 dependent on level of experience!

Responsibilities

What You Will Do

• Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machining or quality issuesComplete preventative maintenance to support safe and consistent machine performance
• Perform visual inspections using microscopes as requiredUse precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and pressure micrometers

Qualifications

• Operator experience with Milling CNC machines
• Strong math background, preferable in machine math/shop math
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience using a microscope
• Ability to read measurement equipment such as micrometer, caliper, pressure micrometer

Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.

Pay Range

USD $21.20 - USD $40.67 /Hr.

Pay Range Details

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
