Job description

IQ Resource Group is seeking an experiencedCNC Setup Machinistfor a manufacturing company in Cudahy, WI. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist with setup experience who enjoys working with advanced equipment, troubleshooting processes, and producing high-quality precision components.

Location:Delavan, WI
Shift:1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay:$28.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE

What You’ll Do

• Set up and adjust CNC machines for production runs
• Work with HAAS Vertical Mills, HAAS Lathes, and Okuma Lathes
• Read blueprints, work orders, and machining specifications
• Load and edit programs as needed
• Perform machine setups including tooling, feeds, speeds, and operational sequences
• Monitor production and make machine adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform precision machining operations including drilling, tapping, turning, milling, reaming, and deburring
• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments
• Maintain tooling and insert management systems
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
• Complete production and quality documentation
• Assist with training and supporting team members as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with CNC mills and lathes
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining practices, tolerances, and quality requirements
• Mastercam experience is a plus
• G-Code and M-Code programming experience is a plus
• Strong math, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
